Hydrofoil

Enjoy the feeling of flying over the water! Hydrofoiling is the fastest growing water sport on the planet, and it’s not hard to see why. Not only is it a lot of fun, it’s super easy to learn and suitable for ages 12 and up. You can take a ride on some of the Gold Coast’s most beautiful waterways including Broadwater and Currumbin Creek with Gold Coast Hydrofoil Tours and eFoil GC.

Roller

This retro hobby is enjoying a huge surge in popularity! This summer you can let the good times roll at HOTA’s pop-up ice rink, which is outside the gallery until January 23. Alternately, Funny stun can help you push your skating limits or develop your skills with their range of adventure lessons and days.

Mountain bike

Mountain biking ticks the box for mental, physical and emotional health. Here on the Gold Coast there is a rich and diverse range of trails and mountain biking experiences to enjoy. Here are some of our favorites:

Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga

You want to improve your core strength while having fun! Stand-up paddleboard yoga is a great activity for the summer because if you fall you are swimming in crystal clear waters! Pure aloha organizes SUP Yoga classes on Tallebudgera Creek. For that extra zen, book a sunset full moon experience.

ax throwing

Free your inner barbarian and try your hand at ax throwing on Wood punks In Miami. If you like it, you can join the Lumber Punks Ax League and compete in both solo and squad competitions. Although this activity is primarily intended for 18+, children 14-17 years old can participate with a parent present and participate in the session.

I will go kart

Get your adrenaline rush with a whip on one of the Gold Coast’s go-kart tracks! Slides Go Karting has two tracks – an outdoor track in Pimpama and an indoor track in Nerang, which includes a track specially designed for drifting turns. AT Xtreme Karting at Pimpama, you can run on paved or dirt tracks (and compete in competitive races once you’ve honed your skills).

Scuba diving

Divers are spoiled for choice on the Gold Coast with several islands just offshore, as well as natural reefs teeming with marine life and plenty of wrecks ready to be explored. Rock climbing is the ultimate full body exercise that will strengthen and stretch every muscle in your body! Get your fix at one of the many indoor climbing studios on the Gold Coast. Our choices are Primordial in Burleigh, Basic climbing in Carrara, and Alpine indoor climbing at Robina!

Parasailing
