Kelowna Brewery Tour adds bike tours – Kelowna Capital News

Canadian Craft Tours is adding to its tour arsenal this summer with beer bikes in Kelowna.

Craft Tours already offer brewery bus tours, but with summer on the way to the Okanagan, the emphasis on the outdoors was the type of tour they wanted to bring to Kelowna.

“From what I’ve seen, the answer is it’s going to be very popular,” said Joscelyn Werner, Director of Sales and Marketing for Canadian Craft Tours.

“This is such a fun visit to do, to combine exercise with the outdoors and drinking beer.”

Bike tours have been launched in a few other cities in British Columbia, with the strongest response coming from North Vancouver. The company said that with the specific scene in downtown Kelowna, tours will be offered to include not only breweries, but also wineries and cider houses.

Werner said it’s something they’ve been trying to put in place since October 2018.

“We have a good relationship with all the breweries (in Kelowna), tours with BC Tree Fruits and Sandhill (that’s something we will be doing) in early summer.”

The stag and hen parties will be a big draw for bikes for 15 people, equipped with a roof, stereo, LED lights and experienced local guides.

The tours will last two and a half hours, and Werner said interest was coming from all over the Okanagan to go for a bike ride with beer.

Werner said the outside interest is great and they are looking to stay as local as possible.

“We are really passionate about supporting our local industries. And we are confident that we will be ready to go.
