The generosity of attendees and exhibitors at ARA 2021, as well as other members of the equipment and event rental community, has resulted in donations totaling $ 140,000 for ARA Foundation programs.

This year, two new ways to support the Foundation were presented: an online auction and a virtual 5K.

The online auction – offered in place of a live event in 2021 due to the changed schedule of the Las Vegas show – ran from October 14 to 25 and featured attractive items for all segments of the industry. industry, including equipment, professional services, travel vouchers and more. Almost $ 74,000 was raised at the end of the auction.

Virtual 5K – sponsored by FTG Equipment Solutions; John Deere; Point of rental software; and Sullair, A Hitachi Group Co. – was presented at the show on Tuesday, October 19. Attendees reached the show that day, dressed in specially designed dri-fit racing shirts, with a medal and sponsor gifts in hand, ready to follow in their footsteps.

5K participants were also able to compete anytime, anywhere from October 17-31. Towards the end of 5K, over 170 runners / walkers participated and between their entrance fees and sponsorship contributions, over $ 16,000 was raised.

An additional $ 50,000 was donated by ARA show attendees upon registration.

Wright also says the donations will have a huge impact on the Foundation’s programs. “The ARA Foundation has over $ 125,000 in scholarships planned for the 2022-2023 school year for students seeking a career in rental, five community impact projects planned across the country in 2022, sessions vocational training that the Foundation will sponsor; and grants that will be offered for employee training and recovery from disasters such as hurricanes, fires and floods. These collective donations will help achieve all of this, ”she said.
